RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A driver lost control of their SUV on Route 17 in Ramapo on Monday and slammed into a utility pole which resulted in the roadway being partially blocked from downed lines, according to the Ramapo Police Department.

Photo Credit: Kyle CauwenberghsTraffic was backed up for several hours as Orange and Rockland Utilities repaired the damaged pole. Injuries were very minor and the accident remains under investigation, police said.
