Winter Lights Festival Coming To Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Get in the holiday spirit and help a couple of good causes at the same time with a visit to the annual Winter Lights Festival at the Valley Rock Inn in Sloatsburg this weekend.

The sparkling event, which runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Inn at 27 Mill St., will include champagne and food to celebrate the opening of their Winter Holiday Market.

Other events include ponies to pet, a sale of holiday decorations and flowers, and a tent full of artists and craftspeople offering one-of-a-kind gifts.

Visitors are asked to bring a warm coat to donate to those in need. For each coat donated, Valley Rock Inn will donate $20 to the Sloatsburg Library.

The holiday decorations and flower sale will raise funds to help save a horse's life.
