At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning, state police announced the arrest of Pearl River resident Matthew Carle for falsifying business records and petit larceny following the completion of a lengthy investigation into thefts at the Spring Valley toll booth.

According to police, the arrest stemmed from an ongoing investigation into money being stolen from the toll booth. The investigation was conducted by state police troopers, the New York State Thruway Authority Audit Division and Management Services.

Carle was arrested and transported to state police barracks in Haverstraw, where he was charged with a felony count of falsifying business records, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Village of Spring Valley Court later this year.
