The service, which is held annually, is sponsored by the Eagle Chapter of the Korean War Veterans of Rockland County in conjunction with RCC.
The event is open to the public.
The monument, which was erected by the Eagle Chapter in 1993, a year after the group's formation, holds a plaque inscribed with the veterans' names.
Above the names is an inscription: “They gave their today for your tomorrow.”
The men whose lives are commemorated on the plaque include: Bruno Ablondi; William Herring; Ira Augenblick; Alex Hirschberger; Philip T. Baker; Charles Horn; Robert A. Brown; Gregory Keenan; Louis Caputo; Robert Laydon; Sam J. Cervene; William H. Lucas; Henry William Cook Jr.; John R. Mackey; Samuel W. DeFreese; William McDade; Roland De Groat; Edmund McGrath; Harold M. Diederich; Norman P. North; Louis S. Duhaime; James Osborne; Peter D. Freytag; James N. Smith; Raymond Flotard; Stanley Tyrell; and William Van Dunk.
