In its 18th year, YouthFest highlights include live performances by local arts organizations; Nyack Hospital's Teddy Bear Hospital; Inflatable Party Adventures; and the Big Apple Circus. The event will run from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the RCC Fieldhouse. Admission and parking are free.
"We're planning a bigger and better YouthFest than ever before," said County Executive Ed Day. "Along with an impressive list of activities and entertainment, YouthFest offers our residents key information about safety, health and wellness, special needs, education, summer camps, financial and college planning, and other important family-related topics. One of our goals is to help parents and caregivers make informed decisions for their children by providing easy access to some of the best local services, programs and products available to them."
As part of YouthFest, visitors can view interactive demonstrations and informative displays and meet with over 25 Rockland County departments, including the Youth Bureau, fire and emergency services, county executive, social services, health, public transportation, highways, personnel and the board of elections. Department representatives will be on hand to answer questions and concerns.
