RCC Hosts Discussion on Alzheimer's Disease, Neuroscience Research

SUFFERN, N.Y. – A panel of medical professionals and politicians will hold a roundtable discussion Monday about the medical, legal and social aspects of Alzheimer’s disease.

The event, which runs from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., is to take place at Rockland Community College’s Ellipse Lecture Hall, Technology Building, 145 College Road. A number of medical professionals are expected to participate.

Organized by New York State Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester), New York State Assemblyman Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove) and U.S. Rep. Steve Israel (D-Dix Hills), the event is to focus, in part, on the state of neuroscience and Alzheimer’s disease research and ideas to increase New York’s standing in such areas.
