The average American considers Thursday, May 21, the “real” start of summer, according to a new survey of 5,000 Americans conducted by Talker Research for Factor. The survey found that 92 percent of Americans are in “summer mode” before the season officially begins. Still, respondents said they feel only 67 percent prepared for the warmer months.
