Showers and thunderstorms will sweep through the region ahead of an approaching cold front. Higher levels of humidity levels will help to ignite the storms Friday, Aug. 4. An approaching cold front will bring a new line of showers and thunderstorms to the region. The projected time frame for storm activity is from late in the afternoon Tuesday, June 27 until late Tuesday evening, the National Weather Service says. The arrival of a cold front will lead to a new round of showers and thunderstorms, followed by a big change in the weather pattern just as fall starts. It will be warm and dry through much of the day on Wednesday, Sept. 21, according to National Weather Service. The high temperature will be around 80 degrees. Showers, Thunderstorms Will Sweep Through Ahead Of Warm Front Leading To Summer-Like Temps
There will be a brief break in the dry weather over Memorial Day weekend as a round of showers and thunderstorms moves through the area from west to east overnight. A quarter of an inch or less of precipitation is expected. (See image above.)
