Nassau County Police say the suspect was apprehended late Monday afternoon, Oct. 14, in Uniondale. While inside the store in Merrick located at 2160 Merrick Mall, on Monday, July 8., he forcibly touched a 36-year-old woman before fleeing the store in an unknown direction, Nassau County Police say. Man Wanted For Forcible Touching At Long Island Stop & Shop Police are working to identify a man accused of sexually assaulting someone at a Long Island Stop & Shop. The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, July 8, in Merrick at the Stop & Shop located near Merrick Avenue and Smith Street. Nassau County Police said the man forcibly touched the victim “in an inappropriate sexual manner.” No other details were given.
