The incident unfolded in the parking lot of the Long Island Railroad station in Ronkonkoma at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, when over 40 vehicles gathered.  Two pickup trucks reportedly performed donuts around other vehicles and bystanders as the Suffolk County Police Street Takeover Task Force, along with officers from the department’s Criminal Intelligence unit, moved in to contain the scene, blocking all exits. Man Struck By Pickup Truck On Long Island A man was hospitalized after being struck by a truck on Long Island. The accident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 13, around 5:55 p.m. on Jerusalem Avenue near Nelson Avenue in Hicksville, according to Nassau County police. Police reported that a 64-year-old man driving a 2005 Nissan pickup truck southbound on Jerusalem Avenue hit a 59-year-old man crossing the road. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The driver remained at the scene, and no additional injuries were reported.
