A Putnam County man is facing 34 counts of animal cruelty after dozens of dogs were found severely emaciated and living in alleged neglect, officials said.
Kevin Bergeson, 64, of Patterson, was arrested following a large-scale investigation by the Putnam County SPCA Law Enforcement Division, the agency announced on Wednesday, June 3.
The investigation began after the SPCA received a complaint about a large number of dogs being kept at a residence in Patterson.

5 Men Jailed In Child Predator Sting In Dutchess County, Police Say
Five Hudson Valley men were arrested and charged with felony offenses during a two-day undercover investigation targeting crimes against children in Dutchess County, police said.
The operation, announced Monday, June 1, was conducted in Fishkill by the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Wappinger along with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force, and the Town of Fishkill Police Department.
