Package Possibly Stolen From This Hudson Valley Neighborhood, Police Warn Authorities are seeking information regarding a possible package theft in a Hudson Valley neighborhood.  The incident reportedly happened in the Putnam County hamlet of Mahopac, where a package was believed to have been taken from the neighborhood surrounding South Lake Boulevard and Clark Place, the Carmel Police Department said on Tuesday, Sept. 10.  The theft was reported in a social media post that the department is now investigating, police added.  Those in the area are advised to watch out for any suspicious activity, which can be reported to police by calling 845…

Van Plunges Into Lake In Hudson Valley Firefighters had to ensure no hazardous fluids entered a Hudson Valley lake after a van plunged into it. The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, July 30, when a van drove into Lake Mahopac on South Lake Boulevard, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. After the incident, crews used hazardous material absorbent booms around the van to absorb any potential vehicle fluid leaks as it was removed from the water. The cause of the crash was not released.
