Several new communities in the Hudson Valley have been designated as COVID-19 “yellow zone” micro-clusters amid the new rise in new cases and positive infection rate.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Thursday, Nov. 19 that in Westchester, parts of Yonkers, New Rochelle, Tarrytown, Ossining, and Peekskill are among the latest in the Hudson Valley to be designated in the “yellow zone.”

Stony Point Driver Found Passed Out, Vehicle Running, With Drugs, Booze, Loaded Gun, Police Say
A Stony Point driver who was found passed out with the motor running Wednesday morning in a park near the Rockland border was carrying a loaded handgun, authorities said.
Officers responding to a 7:45 a.m. call found Jeremy T. Garcia, 22, out cold behind the wheel -- either from drugs or alcohol, Northvale, NJ Police Chief Howard Ostrow said.
They smelled burnt marijuana and saw prescription drugs on the passenger seat, he said.
The officers woke Garcia after several attempts, after which he filed field sobriety tests, the chief said.

A popular high school teacher and coach in Northern Westchester has died at the age of 39.
Dominic Narcisco, a physical education teacher at Primrose Elementary School in Somers and a former assistant football coach at Somers and varsity boys basketball coach at The Harvey School in Katonah, died in his sleep on Monday, April 15 to the shock of the community. Narcisco grew up in Rockland and graduated from Tappan Zee High School.
