Suspect On Loose After Bank Robbery In Shirley
A suspect is on the loose after a bank robbery on Long Island. A man entered the Chase branch in Shirley, located at 645 Northbound William Floyd Parkway, at about 3:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and handed the teller a note demanding cash, according to Suffolk County Police. The teller complied and the suspect fled with cash. The robber was described as a white man with brown hair, who appeared to be in his 40s. He was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. A Hudson Valley man has been accused of driving recklessly on Long Island. Suffolk County Police say they observed a purple 2023 Dodge Charger doing donuts in the hamlet of Shirley at around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at the intersection of Montauk Highway and William Floyd Parkway. The vehicle stalled and the man left the vehicle and fled on foot. Following an investigation, officers determined the vehicle was a rental. Police Search For Hit-Run Driver In Crash On William Floyd Parkway In Shirley
Police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver involved in a hit-and-run Long Island crash. A white box truck was traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley, near Flower Hill Drive, when it struck a 2015 Kia Optima at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26. Two women and a man were arrested on an abandoned college campus after they were allegedly caught with burglar tools and tried to flee the cops. It happened in Shirley on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 27, Suffolk County Police said. Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old From Farmingville ID'd As Victim In Shirley
A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight on Long Island. It happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, May 26, in Shirley. Suffolk County Police said the man was driving a 2015 Infiniti Q50 southbound on William Floyd Parkway, just north of Robinwood Drive, when he lost control of the car.
