A Long Island man who allegedly robbed a deli and burglarized two other businesses was caught by police following an investigation.
The incidents took place in Shirley and Mastic Beach on three separate dates in April, Suffolk County Police said.
Blaise Marckesano, age 38, of Shirley, was arrested on Wednesday, April 26 following an investigation into the crimes which began on Saturday, April 1, police said.

Three suspects are facing charges for their roles in a string of armed robberies at Long Island businesses over the course of more than a week, police said.
Suffolk County Police investigators announced the arrest of three people in connection to multiple armed robberies and an attempted robbery that took place in the department’s Third, Fifth, and Seventh Precincts.
The alleged robberies and attempted robbery happened between Wednesday, Sept. 22, and Thursday, Sept. 30.

Duo Charged In Connection With Long Island Shooting
Police have released the identities of two men charged in connection with a Long Island shooting.
John Argueta, age 29, was arrested on Tuesday, June 8, and Junior Argueta, age 18, both of Brentwood, was arrested on Friday, June 10, by Suffolk County Police in connection with the shooting which took place in Mastic Beach on Thursday, June 3.
On the night of the shooting, a man was hit in the leg by a gunshot outside of a home on Parkwood Drive at about 7:42 p.m., police said.
The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect has been nabbed after a man was injured in a Long Island shooting that happened in broad daylight.
A 21-year-old man was driving a 2007 GMC pickup, when a man known to the victim, driving a gray sedan shot the victim through the door, striking his left leg on southbound William Floyd Parkway at Surrey Circle in Shirley, at approximately 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, Suffolk County Police said.
The 21-year-old man was transported to a local hospital with a minor injury to his left leg.

A Long Island man was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist.
The crash happened Wednesday, July 1at approximately 5:50 p.m. in Shirley.
