Long Island Man Dies Over Week After Being Pulled Unresponsive From Pool
A Long Island man has died over a week after he was pulled unresponsive from a swimming pool. Emergency crews were called at around 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, after a 45-year-old man was found unresponsive in a residential pool in the hamlet of West Hills, on West Hills Road. A resident of the home performed CPR until first responders arrived and took the man to Huntington Hospital. He remained in critical condition for more than a week. A man has been accused of driving drunk after a fatal crash in a residential Long Island neighborhood. The crash happened just after 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 4 in West Hills. A Huntington Station man was driving a 2017 Honda Accord northbound on Sweet Hollow Road, south of Chichester Road, when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a 2010 Toyota Prius head-on, Suffolk County Police said. 48-Year-Old Killed In 2-Vehicle West Hills Crash
Police are investigating a midday crash that left a Long Island resident dead. It happened around 1:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6 in West Hills. The victim was operating a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Round Swamp Road when it crossed over the double-yellow lines into the northbound lanes and collided with 2016 Chevrolet Traverse being driven by a 67-year-old Huntington woman, Suffolk County Police said. It wasn’t a dirt track for a pair of horses on Long Island who ventured their way onto the Northern State Parkway. An investigation is underway after one person was killed in a two-vehicle Long Island crash overnight. It happened Sunday, Dec. 12 at about 1:15 a.m. in West Hills.
