Neighbor Charged After Fatal House Fire In Hempstead
A neighbor has been charged after a fatal house fire on Long Island. The blaze broke out around 6:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26 in Hempstead. Emergency responders raced to the scene at 103 Front St. Upon arrival, they observed the house to be fully engulfed in flames due to a fire that started in a second-floor bedroom, Nassau County Police said. The Hempstead Fire Department along with South Hempstead, West Hempstead, Uniondale, and Roosevelt Fire Departments responded and extinguished the flames. Three-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Nassau County Home
A three-alarm fire destroyed a Long Island home overnight. The blaze broke out in Nassau County around 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 1 t in West Hempstead at a home on Sycamore Street. Firefighters at work.West Hempstead Fire Department First arriving firefighters found heavy fire coming from the basement and first-floor windows and quickly engulfed the entire home, said Chief Andrew Brohm, of the West Hempstead Fire Department.
