18 Alleged Suffolk County Gang Members Charged After Investigation Into Murder, Robberies
Eighteen people are facing charges in a 148-count indictment following a long-term investigation into gang-related robberies, thefts, and a murder committed on Long Island.
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced the indictment of alleged members of the "No Fake Love" gang, also known as "NFL," on Monday, Dec. 12.
Tierney said the investigation involved 31 separate incidents, including the murder of Jorge Mauricio Sevilla Barrera in December of 2021.

A 45-year-old Long Island man who was found in possession of nearly one kilogram of cocaine and a semi-automatic pistol has been sentenced.
Christopher Reece, of Bohemia, was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced on Monday, Nov. 28.
On Thursday, Aug. 25, he pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, the Da's Office said.

A Virginia man is facing DWI and weapons charges following a traffic stop on the Southern State Parkway.
Siwatu Emanuel, age 39, of Richmond, Virginia, was stopped by State Police at around 5:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, as he drove eastbound near the Wantagh State Parkway in Hempstead.
After receiving a report of a Honda Pilot driving erratically in the area, troopers spotted Emanuel’s vehicle near Exit 27N and noticed that his front driver’s side tire was blown out, police said.

A 25-year-old wanted man is facing additional charges after a traffic stop on Long Island turned up three guns, two of them real, authorities said.
Rahson Dickerson, of the Bronx, was arrested at around 7 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Woodmere after Nassau County Police were called to assist the NYPD with a traffic stop near West Broadway and Eastwood Road.
Inside Dickerson’s car, officers found two handguns and one imitation gun, according to police.

Two homeless men who are being held in the fatal hotel shooting of a father of a freshman student who was visiting Marist College in Poughkeepsie on Family Weekend were not placed at the hotel by the county.
The two suspects, identified as Roy Johnson Jr., age 35, and Devin Taylor, age 26, have been charged in the death of Long Island resident Paul Kutz, age 53, of East Northport, at the Courtyard by Marriott in the Town of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, Oct. 2.
