Busy Suffolk County Roadway Shut Down After Water Main Break Motorists and commuters will want to take note that Montauk Highway (Route 27) is closed between Everdell Avenue and Keith Lane in West Islip due to a water main break. Suffolk County Police said there is not a time estimate on how long the repairs may take. Detours have been erected.
