Two people were killed and two others suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on the Southern State Parkway. The wreck happened in the eastbound lanes, near exit 30 in North Massapequa, shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12. A Dodge sedan was traveling in and out of lanes at a high rate of speed before the driver lost control and crashed into a tree on the shoulder, New York State Police said. The identity has been released of a man killed in a hit-and-run Long Island crash involving an allegedly drunk driver. The crash happened around 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in Westbury. A 2006 gray Chrysler Sebring was traveling eastbound on Old Country Road when it struck a bicyclist near the intersection of State Street.
