16-Year-Old Burglary Suspect Nabbed Inside Long Island Restaurant A burglary suspect was quickly apprehended after officers found him inside a local restaurant. Police responded to La Plage Restaurant on Creek Road in Wading River at about 12:55 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, after a 911 caller reported a break-in. Upon arrival, Riverhead patrol and K9 units discovered a 16-year-old boy inside the restaurant. Dirt Bike-Riding Teens Rob 13-Year-Old Near Long Island Trailhead Police are asking for help in identifying two teens suspected of robbing a 13-year-old boy near a Long Island trailhead. The incident happened in Wantagh, near the intersection of Island and Jennie roads, at around 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9. Nassau County Police said the victim was riding his bicycle when he saw a dirt bike near the entrance of a trail and approached it to get a closer look. Burglary Spree: Teen Trio Nabbed For Merrick Incidents A group of teen boys was arrested after police said they stole from the same Long Island business multiple times. The Merrick incident occurred on Sunday, June 16. Just after 10:30 p.m. that day, Nassau County Police responded to Merrick Bicycles, located at 1829 Merrick Avenue, for a reported burglary. When they arrived, authorities reportedly found and arrested three teens — ages 13, 14, and 17 — at the scene. The 13- and 17-year-old were allegedly discovered to be behind two additional burglaries, also at Merrick Bicycles, on May 24 and June 8. All three of the teens are charged…
