9-Year-Old Found Unresponsive In Pool At Nesconset Home A child is in critical condition after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Long Island home. Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call about the incident involving the 9-year-old boy in Nesconset at about 6:15 p.m. Friday, June 28. 16-Year-Old Airlifted To Hospital After Hitting Head In Massapequa Pool A 16-year-old was airlifted to the hospital after hitting his head in a backyard pool at a home on Long Island. It happened in Massapequa around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, Nassau County Police said. Officers responded to a report of a boy who was injured while diving into a pool and hitting his head on the bottom.  Upon police arrival, officers observed the victim lying by the side of the pool after his friends pulled him out.
