Emergency crews in Southampton were called to a North Haven residence on Sunset Beach Road for a 2-year-old boy who was found floating in a pool at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 7. Southampton Town Police said medics performed CPR on the child as he was transported to Southampton Hospital. He was later transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital. 9-Year-Old Found Unresponsive In Pool At Nesconset Home A child is in critical condition after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Long Island home. Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call about the incident involving the 9-year-old boy in Nesconset at about 6:15 p.m. Friday, June 28. Suffolk County Police said several neighbors located the child at the home on 5th Street and removed him from the pool.  They then began performing CPR until first responders arrived a short time later. 16-Year-Old Airlifted To Hospital After Hitting Head In Massapequa Pool A 16-year-old was airlifted to the hospital after hitting his head in a backyard pool at a home on Long Island. It happened in Massapequa around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, Nassau County Police said. Officers responded to a report of a boy who was injured while diving into a pool and hitting his head on the bottom.  Upon police arrival, officers observed the victim lying by the side of the pool after his friends pulled him out.
