Yaphank Man Accused Of Killing Girlfriend At Motel In Patchogue A Long Island man has been accused of murdering his girlfriend at a local motel earlier this year. On Wednesday, May 29 just before 2:30 a.m., a 911 caller reported a woman not breathing at the Shore Motor Inn, located in Patchogue at 576 Eastbound Sunrise Service Road, Suffolk County Police said. The woman, Candice Woodruff, age 37, of Katy, Texas, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Person Dies After Pickup Truck Bursts Into Flames In East Setauket An investigation is underway surrounding the circumstances of a person's death during a vehicle fire on Long Island overnight. Suffolk County Police officers responded to the blaze in East Setauket on Friday, Aug.18 at around 11:10 p.m. on the north shoulder, west of 445 Route 25A. The Setauket Fire Department extinguished the fire and a body was discovered inside the 2004 Dodge pickup. Frania Espinal, age 22, of Dix Hills, was reported missing on Monday, April 12. Following an investigation by the Suffolk County PD Homicide Squad and Second Squad detectives, Espinal was found dead inside a home in Bay Shore, on Heckscher Avenue,  at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, according to police.
