Woman Found Dead In Wooded Area On Long Island An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in a wooded area on Long Island. Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a female body lying in a wooded area in Centereach off of Hawkins Road, near Eastwood Boulevard, at approximately 12:10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11. Jaclyn D’Andrea, 33, of Bellmore, was pronounced dead by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.  An autopsy was performed and the cause of death is under investigation. Worker Killed In Accident At Long Island Business An employee was killed in an accident at a Long Island business. It happened on Friday, Oct. 9 at approximately 4:50 p.m. in Central Islip. Osvaldo Flores-Osguin, age 45, of Brentwood, was repairing a tire on a forklift at T&D Supplies, located at 1599 Ferndale Blvd., when it exploded and struck him, Suffolk County Police said. Flores-Osguin was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified and is investigating.

Man Found Dead Inside Long Island Home A man was found dead with a gunshot wound at a Long Island home. It happened on Sunday, March 8 just before 10:30 p.m. on the North Fork, in Aquebogue. Riverhead Town Police responded to 45 Pine Ave. to check on the welfare of the owner of the house, Lee Pedersen, who was found dead.  An autopsy by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner determined Pedersen, 69, died of a gunshot wound.
