Orange County resident Anthony Apostolico, age 48, of Chester, died on Sunday, June 19, when a tree fell on top of a pickup truck that he was a passenger in.  Police said the accident happened in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Stony Point. Stony Point resident Ravid Abdul, 52, was inside Dime Community Bank on Old Country Road in Westbury at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, Suffolk County Police said, when he attempted to withdraw $29,000 from an account using fraudulent identification.
