ID Released For Man Killed Crossing Busy Long Island Roadway
The 73-year-old man who was hit and killed while crossing a busy Long Island roadway early on New Year's Eve Day has been identified. According to the Nassau County Police Homicide Squad, the fatal accident took place around 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, in Woodmere. According to detectives, a 2019 Infinity SUV driven by a 36-year-old woman was traveling southbound on Peninsula Boulevard when the vehicle struck the man near the intersection of Edward Avenue.
