Fatal Crash: Person Struck By Car On Busy Long Island Roadway A person died after being hit by a car overnight on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in Melville, on Broadhollow Road (Route 110), between Spagnoli Road and Ruland Road.  A 23-year-old Huntington Station man was driving a 2003 Toyota sedan northbound in the left lane when he struck the man who was crossing the road, Suffolk County Police said. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he was pronounced dead. Morris, of Huntington Station, was uninjured.…

26-Year-Old Airlifted After Fall From Conveyor Belt In Melville Police are investigating an industrial accident that seriously injured a Long Island man. Nassau County resident, Timothy Baumann, age 26, of Merrick, injured his arm after falling off a conveyor belt at Rason Asphalt, located at 136 Spagnoli Road, in Melville, at 8 a.m., Friday, March 11. Baumann was airlifted by helicopter to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment of serious injuries, said the Suffolk County Police. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was notified and is investigating. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
