Fatal Long Island Hit-Run Suspect Indicted: DA
The suspect has pleaded not guilty for his alleged role in a crash that killed a 30-year-old Long Island man.
Centereach resident Corey Henson, age 32, was arraigned on Wednesday, May 3 for charges that he not only struck and killed a man while driving drunk, but fled the scene, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
According to the charges, the DA said, Henson was driving drunk on the night of July 11, 2022.

Two Vehicles Slam Into Long Island Subway Restaurant Causing Fire, Injury To Driver
Two cars ended up inside a Long Island Subway Restaurant following a crash in which one of the vehicles split the other in half, trapping the driver.
The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., Friday, March 5, in Nassau County at the Subway on South Main Street in Freeport, said the Freeport Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they found an overturned car in the building with fire and a driver trapped, Chief of Freeport Department Scott R. Braun said.

Man, Woman In Custody After Police Pursuit Following String Of Burglaries In Suffolk
A man and a woman wanted in a string of burglaries were nabbed by police following a chase throughout Suffolk County.
The driver, John Miller, 43, of Brookhaven, and his passenger, Annette Bowers, 45, of Patchogue, were arrested on Monday, May 20, after police were able to stop their Mercedes-Benz van on South Main Street in Freeport, police said.
The string of burglaries began around 3:45 a.m, Sunday, May 19, when Miller allegedly broke into the Walgreens at 1580 Route 112, in Medford, Suffolk County Police said.
