Long Island Schools Recognized With Namm Foundation Awards Out of the 975 districts across the nation honored for having outstanding music education programs, approximately 60 Long Island were selected and bestowed with the award. Dozens of school districts on Long Island were awarded by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation for having the Best Community For Music Education (BCME).
