Westchester Man On Train 'Executed 20-Year-Old Who Considered Him A Friend,' DA Says
New details have been released following the indictment of a Westchester County man in connection to an execution-style shooting onboard a Long Island Rail Road train last year.
Suffolk County Police arrested Nicholas D'Agostino, age 20, of Yonkers on Thursday, May 18 for allegedly shooting Suffolk County resident Yusef Staine, of West Babylon, also 20 years old, to death on the train on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at approximately 1:45 a.m.
He was indicted on Friday, May 19, and charged with:

A 45-year-old Long Island man who was found in possession of nearly one kilogram of cocaine and a semi-automatic pistol has been sentenced.
Christopher Reece, of Bohemia, was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced on Monday, Nov. 28.
On Thursday, Aug. 25, he pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, the Da's Office said.

Two transient men have been indicted by a grand jury for the unprovoked shooting death of a father of three from the region.
Dutchess County District Attorney William Grady announced on Friday, Oct. 7, that a grand jury voted to indict Roy Johnson and Devin Taylor in the death of Long Island resident Paul Kutz, age 53, of East Northport, at the Courtyard by Marriott in the Town of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, Oct. 2.
The indictment did away with the need for a preliminary hearing, which was scheduled for Friday, Grady said.

A second suspect has been charged in connection to a shooting that killed one person and injured two others at a Long Island July 4th block party.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 4 in Roosevelt, where Nassau County Police say two groups were involved in an altercation at the party on Hudson Avenue.
Multiple shots were fired and as a result, three people were struck by gunfire, police said.

Man Indicted For Murder After Fatal Shooting During Old Bethpage Park Robbery
A man was indicted for murder in a July 6 fatal shooting during a robbery in an Old Bethpage park.
Brandon Torres, 22, of Staten Island was arraigned Friday, Aug. 2 and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree robbery, according to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
Torres was remanded and is due back in court on Friday, Sept. 6. If convicted of the top count, he faces 25 years to life in prison.
