Fatal Crash: Person Struck By Car On Busy Long Island Roadway A person died after being hit by a car overnight on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in Melville, on Broadhollow Road (Route 110), between Spagnoli Road and Ruland Road.  A 23-year-old Huntington Station man was driving a 2003 Toyota sedan northbound in the left lane when he struck the man who was crossing the road, Suffolk County Police said. 35-Year-Old From Nassau County Dies After Crashing Vehicle Into Box Truck Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Long Island that killed a 35-year-old man. The crash happened at about 4 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, in Melville, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. SCPD said a 2011 Mitsubishi was traveling on Route 110 when the vehicle struck a 2016 Isuzu box truck that was parked on the shoulder at Ruland Road.
