The single-vehicle crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) in Southampton near County Road 111 (Eastport Manor Road) on Saturday, Nov. 12, New York State Police reported. Brandon Johnson of West Islip, was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger northbound on Udall Road when he lost control of the vehicle under the Route 27 overpass and crashed into a concrete pillar, Suffolk County Police said.
