1 Woman Killed, Another Seriously Injured In 2-Vehicle West Islip Crash One woman was killed and another seriously injured in a two-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11 in West Islip. The driver of a 2023 Infiniti Q50 was traveling westbound on Union Boulevard, just east of Route 231, when the vehicle lost control and side-swiped a westbound 2020 Hyandai Sonata causing both vehicles to crash, Suffolk County Police said. Missing Centereach Man Found Dead Update: A 45-year-old Long Island man who went missing earlier this month has been found dead, Suffolk County Police announced Friday morning, July 26. The body of Thomas Kelsey of Centereach was discovered in his vehicle in West Islip on Thursday, July 25.  A passerby observed the vehicle in a ravine off Route 231 and called 911 at approximately 8:30 p.m., police said.
