Sobriety Checkpoint: 3 Charged In Overnight Detail At Huntington Station Intersection Three motorists are facing charges after an overnight multi-agency sobriety checkpoint at a Long Island intersection. It was conducted in Huntington Station at the LIRR parking lot at Route 110 and Church Street from 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 until 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2. A total of 403 vehicles went through the checkpoint, according to Suffolk County Police, which was the lead agency involved in the detail. Suffolk County Man Charged After Spray-Painting Nine Buildings, Police Say A Long Island man was arrested after police said he spray-painted "Defund the Police" or "Defund Suffolk PD" on nine buildings.  Thomas Rivas, age 26, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with nine counts of making graffiti, the Suffolk County Police Department announced on Wednesday, Oct. 13. ID Released For Bicyclist Killed After Being Struck By SUV On Long Island The identity of the bicyclist who was killed after being hit by a compact SUV on Long Island has been identified. It happened at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 in Huntington Station. The victim, now identified as Sean Siegel, 32, of Huntington Station, was struck by a 2015 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound on Route 110 at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike, Suffolk County Police said. Siegel was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The driver of the Nissan, Dominick Amorosa, 48, of East Northport, was not injured, according to police. …
