An elderly woman is hospitalized with serious injuries after being rescued from a house fire on Long Island. Fire crews were called at around 8:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, with reports of a Roosevelt home engulfed in flames on East Raymond Avenue near Nassau Road. Three police officers saved a man who was trapped inside a burning Long Island home. The fire took place in Roosevelt around 3:35 p.m., Sunday, April 17, said the Nassau County Police. When officers responded to the call after receiving a 911 call they found that four residents had made it safely outside the burning home, but one man was trapped inside, police said.
