Man Chucks Metal Crate At Long Island Convenience Store Employee, Police Say
A Long Island man was nabbed after he allegedly caused a scene at a local convenience store, eventually throwing a metal case at an employee and injuring her, police reported.
It happened on Sunday, Dec. 3 in Oceanside.
According to Nassau County Police, 27-year-old Stephen J. Jensen had walked into Venom Beer and Convenience, located at 230 Merrick Road, just before 2:30 p.m. and began to cause a disturbance.
A woman who worked at the store reportedly asked Jensen, a Rockville Centre, to leave the store multiple times.

Thanksgiving Day Burglary: Man Robs Long Island Business, Flees, Police Say
Authorities are searching for a man who they say broke into a Long Island business on Thanksgiving and ran off with cash.
The burglary happened on Thursday, Nov. 23 in Bellmore.
According to Nassau County Police, the robber used a crowbar to break the front door to Speedway, located at 2670 Merrick Road, just before 2:30 a.m.
After making his way inside, he grabbed an unknown amount of cash and ran, fleeing west toward South St. Marks Avenue.

Joshua Roston, age 38 of Baldwin, received his conviction on Friday, Oct. 27 for the 2019 murder of Cemal ‘John’ Dagdeviren, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
