Metro-North May Raise Parking Fees At Some Stations Parking may be getting a bit costlier for Metro-North riders. The MTA is reviewing a proposal to increase fees at 25 station parking facilities that are controlled by the railroad. It would impact riders east of the Hudson River, including the Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines. Permit holders for 16-hour parking would pay an average of $42.75 annually, approximately 12 cents a day. Customers who use daily meters will pay an average of $14.17 more monthly, with the meters increasing by 50 to 75 cents for 16-hour parking. Man Charged After Sideswiping Vehicle, Causing Crash While Racing On I-684, Police Say A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sideswiping a vehicle on Interstate 684 in an incident in which one person was injured when an SUV overturned on the highway, closing Route 22 in both directions on Tuesday, April 16. The incident took place northbound around 2:20 p.m. in Purdys, when the vehicle rolled over the side of I-684 just south of Exit 7, jumped the guardrail and landed on its roof on Route 22, said state police.
