Passenger Busted With Illegal Gun, Ammunition During Traffic Stop On Long Island, Police Say
A traffic stop on Long Island ended with a passenger in handcuffs on weapons charges.
Officers in New Cassel stopped a Dodge Charger at around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, near Prospect and Magnolia avenues due to a suspended registration, according to Nassau County Police.
While speaking with the driver, a man in the passenger seat, 38-year-old Ishmel Cohen, of Brooklyn, began acting suspiciously and officers asked him to exit the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the car turned up an illegal semi-automatic Glock handgun loaded with ten rounds of ammunition, police said.

Ghost Gun Found During New Cassel Traffic Stop, 18-Year-Old Charged, Police Say
An 18-year-old is facing charges after police said he was found in possession of a ghost gun during a traffic stop on Long Island.
Kyle Gritser, of Hicksville, was arrested in New Cassel at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
The ghost gun was discovered after officers pulled over a 2010 Infiniti G37 on Prospect Avenue at Urban Avenue due to traffic violations, police said.
When officers interviewed the driver, identified as Gritser, they saw a large-capacity magazine on the floor of the car, NCPD said.

Suspect Nabbed After Threatening Person With Gun On Long Island Street, Police Say
A Long Island man wanted for threatening another person with a gun on a local street has been arrested.
Joel Almendares Valencia, age 24, was arrested on Wednesday, May 26, for an incident that took place on Monday, May 24, in New Cassel, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, a man was threatened with a gun by an unknown male subject while on Park Avenue. The victim reported the incident to the police and the investigation began.

Long Island Man, 29, Accused Of Exposing Himself To 64-Year-Old Woman
A man has been accused of exposing himself from his vehicle to a woman waiting at a Long Island bus stop.
The incident allegedly happened in New Cassel on Friday, Nov. 27 at around 1:30 p.m.
Nestor Osorio Gonzalez, age 29, drove up to the 64-year-old woman, who was sitting at the bus stop on Prospect Avenue near New York Avenue, Nassau County Police said.
Gonzalez, of New Cassel, then summoned her over to his vehicle and asked if she needed a ride while exposing himself to the woman, said police.
The women then walked away and contacted police.
