Long Island's Last Remaining Duck Farm Still Flourishing After 111 Years Crescent Duck Farm in Aquebogue grows genuine Long Island Duck and is the last duck farm on Long Island. Its president, Doug Corwin, is the fifth generation in his family to run the farm. The business began in 1908 on land purchased by a family ancestor, Matthias Corwin, in 1640. The farm breeds, hatchers and grows about one million ducks each year on 140 acres. The farm buys corn, soybean, and wheat and mills it into nutritional pellets to feed the ducks.
