Here's How Many Volunteers Are Working This Week's PGA Championship At Bethpage Thousands of men and women of all size, shapes and ages are busy this week working long hours as the championship rounds start at the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black. In total, approximately 3,600 volunteers will work various jobs at the course, while the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson hit the links and vie for the second major of the season. Though the action won’t kick off until Monday, May 13, a 60,000-square-foot PGA Shops merchandising tent will be set up on the course, open to the public beginning on Friday, May 10, featuring anything a golf fan could hope for. The venue will be located near the Main Spectator Entrance, along the walkway. Beat The Traffic: Here Are Best Ways To Get To PGA Championship At Bethpage Black The MTA is offering a variety of ways for golf fans to get to Bethpage Black for the PGA Championship. Extra train service has been added to accommodate the tens of thousands of expected spectators that are anticipated to flood Farmingdale for the tournament from Monday, May 13 through Sunday, May 19.
