A failed attempted burglary attempt at a Long Island nail salon led to the arrest of a serial criminal with dozens of convictions on his record who was later linked to multiple other commercial burglaries, police announced. Police on Long Island have arrested a man who is allegedly responsible for at least 14 burglaries. Police captured the repeat burglar around 11 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11 while he was attempting to break into a jewelry store in Bellmore, said the Nassau County Police. A Suffolk County man is facing serious charges for allegedly driving drunk with his 8-year-old daughter and wife in the car in Hewlett, police said. Amityville resident Jose Pleitez, 41, was stopped by Nassau County Police officers at approximately 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25 when he was spotted repeatedly swerving out of his lane.
