Two paramedics in upstate New York who were seen on a viral video mistreating and berating a developmentally disabled patient have resigned. The Greene County incident happened Friday evening, May 17, in the Village of Catskill. Emergency crews were called to a residence on Main Street for reports of a 63-year-old man who was unable to get up and was having difficulty breathing, Greene County newspaper Porcupine Soup reports. Police Search For SUV Driver In Hit-Run Long Island Crash Seriously Injuring Teen
Police investigators on Long Island are attempting to locate a hit-and-run driver who struck a teenage pedestrian, got out of his car to check on him, then proceeded to get back in his SUV and driving away. An alert has been issued by the Nassau County Police Department as they attempt to locate the driver of a white Dodge Durango who struck a 14-year-old teen who was walking along the northbound lanes of North Village Avenue in Rockville Centre. Vehicle Falls On Man Changing Tire At Long Island Home
Police officers on Long Island came to the rescue of a man who had a vehicle fall on him while he was changing a tire. Officers from the Nassau County Police Department responded to a 2nd Avenue home at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, where there was a report of a man in distress after a vehicle fell onto him. According to police, the officers were able to lift the vehicle and pull the man out from underneath, where he had been pinned. The man was transported by paramedics in Nassau County to an area hospital for treatment of lower leg injuries.

Long Island Woman Seriously Injured After Being Attacked By Dogs, Man Trying To Help Also Hurt
Two people were hospitalized after being attacked by dogs on Long Island. A 52-year-old woman was attacked by two pit bulls at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9 while walking on Hungry Harbor Road in Valley Stream, police said. Upon arrival, officers found the woman bleeding heavily, with lacerations caused by the dogs to her face, arms, and legs, police said. A 52-year-old man who attempted to intervene also suffered bites to his right hand and foot as he attempted to stop the dogs’ attack.
