A woman has been charged in connection with the death of an elderly victim and beloved voice coach who was pushed to the ground and killed during a random attack in New York City.
Long Island resident Lauren Pazienza, age 26, of Port Jefferson, was charged Tuesday, March 22, with manslaughter in connection with the death of Barbara Maier Gustern, of the Chelsea section of Manhattan, said the NYPD.

Woman Arrested For Fatal Stabbing Of NY Attorney
A woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing an attorney from Long Island to death in his New York City office after he reportedly refused to take her case.
Zhang, Xiaoning, age 25, of Queens, was arrested on Monday, March 14, for stabbing and killing Nassau County resident Jim Li, age 66, of Great Neck, said the NYPD.
Li, a prominent Chinese dissident who took part in the Tiananmen Square movement, turned immigration lawyer, was found stabbed around 11:44 a.m., when police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress inside of 136-56 39 Ave., said the NYPD.

Man Lying On Tracks Hit, Killed By Lirr Train, Nassau County Police Say
Police are investigating after a person was hit by a Long Island Railroad train, delaying service for commuters.
The man was struck around 7 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, east of the Forest Hills by a Hempstead Branch train, according to the MTA.
According to the NYPD, the man was seen lying on the "roadbed" as the train pulled into the Forest Hills, Queens, station.
The motorman saw but could not stop in time, police said.
The victim died at the scene.

Long Island Robbery Suspect Nabbed At Airport Fleeing Country, Police Say
Police apprehended a Long Island man wanted for an alleged attempted robbery as he was boarding a plane to leave the country.
According to Nassau County detectives, Bernardo Dezil, age 22, of Freeport, entered Clientele, located at 630 Old Country Road in East Garden City, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, and began selecting clothing items.
Employees observed Dezil acting suspiciously and began to monitor him. When he attempted to exit the store without paying for the items, store employees attempted to stop him, police said.

A man who identifies himself as an “incel” or “involuntary celibate” has admitted to stalking and terrorizing at least two women, federal authorities announced.

Missing NY Teens Found
Two teenagers who went missing late last week have been located.
Long Island residents Vincent Abolafia, and his girlfriend, Kaileigh Catalano, both age 15 and of Manorville in Suffolk County, were last seen at the Ronkonkoma train station on Thursday, Dec. 9 with the intention of boarding the 3:11 p.m. train to Manhattan, Suffolk County Police said.
On Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 14, the Suffolk County PD said the two "were located, unharmed, in Manhattan today."
The NYPD and MTA Police Department assisted in the investigation.
