Four In Water Clinging To Sinking Boat On Long Island Sound Rescued Four men clinging to a partially submerged boat in the Long Island Sound that was spotted by a nearby oyster boat were rescued by a police marine unit in Westport. At approximately 2:30 p.m., Tuesday afternoon, June 18, the Westport Marine Unit responded to a call of four people in the water near Peck’s Ledge Lighthouse.  An oyster boat reported the incident to the Norwalk Police Department who in turn, alerted Westport officers, Westport Police said.
