Police are on the search for a bunch of burglars after two separate Long Island businesses were burgled in two days. The first of the two incidents happened on Monday, Oct. 9 in Greenvale, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 10:55 p.m., a duo was able to pry open the door of Wine Society, located at 41 Northern Boulevard. Lane Closures Scheduled On Route 25A
A six-week pavement renewal project may spell delays for travelers on Route 25A, according to transportation officials. Beginning on Monday, July 24, one lane in each direction of Northern Boulevard is scheduled to be closed overnight for approximately six weeks, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. $25.8M Resurfacing Project Scheduled For Nearly 80 Miles Of These Long Island Roadways
Nearly 80 miles of two of Long Island’s most heavily traveled roadways will be resurfaced, according to officials. On Thursday, June 15, Gov. Kathy Hochul and the New York State Department of Transportation announced that a $25.8 million project to resurface key parts of the Northern State Parkway and Northern Boulevard would begin the week of June 19. Long Island Woman Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Parked Cars, Police Say
A woman leaped from a moving car operated by an allegedly drunk driver who struck several parked cars during an early morning incident on Long Island. Long Beach resident Madeline Benegas, 49, was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue with a 24-year-old person shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 in Baldwin, Nassau County Police said.
