Seen Him? Man Stole Over $18K In Euros From Car On Long Island, Police Say
Police are searching for a man who they say stole $18,000 worth of euros from a car while it was parked at a Long Island diner.
On Friday, June 30, the victim, a 38-year-old man, went to a bank in New Hyde Park to exchange $18,500 for approximately 16,959 euros, according to the Nassau County Police.
After leaving the bank, the victim put the money inside the glove box of his Nissan Altima and drove to the Williston Diner, located at 112 Hillside Avenue.

Two out-of-state men are facing charges after they were allegedly busted with loaded guns during a traffic stop on Long Island.
State Police troopers first spotted the suspects’ vehicle at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in East Garden City.
Troopers watched as their Nissan Altima, which had a Pennsylvania registration, failed to stop at a stop sign near the exit ramp to Zeckendorf Boulevard, according to police.

A Long Island duo was allegedly nabbed with crack cocaine and heroin during a traffic stop in which one of the suspects attempted to flee from police.
George Williams, age 43, of Freeport, and Casey Daus, age 23, of Massapequa Park, were arrested on Tuesday, June 21 in Elmont.
According to detectives, officers stopped the couple driving a 2001 black Nissan Altima for a traffic violation.
During the stop, officers recovered multiple clear plastic bags believed to contain crack cocaine and heroin, said the Nassau County Police.

Pursuit, Crash Leads To Discovery Of Long Island Duo With Ghost Gun, Police Say
A weekend police chase on Long Island ended with troopers finding a so-called ghost gun.
The incident began around 11 a.m. Sunday, May 1, when troopers attempted to stop a Nissan Altima for speeding on the Northern State Parkway near New Highway in Smithtown, New York State Police said.
After a short pursuit, the driver entered the on-ramp to Sunken Meadow Parkway but lost control on a curve and crashed near a wooded area, police said.
The driver then took off on foot and has not been found.

A woman was killed after being struck by a car while attempting to cross a busy Long Island roadway.
The incident happened just before 8:45 a.m. Friday, March 26 in West Babylon.
Mumtaz Malik, age 81, of Lindenhurst, was attempting to cross Route 109 at East Drive when she was struck by an eastbound 2019 Nissan Altima, Suffolk County Police said.
Malik was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
The driver of the Nissan, Michelle Santangelo, age 51, of West Islip, was not injured.

Heavily Tinted Car Windows Lead To Duo's Arrests For Weapon, Drugs On Hempstead Turnpike
Two area men were arrested for allegedly being in possession of a weapon and drugs during a traffic stop for having excessive window tinting.
Kevin Colon, 32, and Mario Perez, 31, both of Rockaway, Queens, were arrested around 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, during the stop in Levittown on the Hempstead Turnpike, said the Nassau County Police.
During the stop of the 2017 Nissan Altima, officers found Colon, 32, was in possession of a substance believed to be marijuana. Perez was allegedly found to be in possession of a handgun. He was arrested without incident.
