The New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) has officially unveiled its new area code for the region. CBS New York reported that the commission wants public feedback on the petition for a new area code in Nassau County. The petition was due to a projection that there will not be any available 516 numbers by the end of 2023. New York is moving forward with its plan to dismantle and decommission the Indian Point nuclear power facility in the Hudson Valley. Gov.
