Kathy Hochul announced the completion of a near $4 million improvement project at the Hempstead Lake State Park to enhance public access to the park and lake, which represents the largest body of freshwater in Nassau County. Jones Beach Restaurant The Landing Will Not Be Back This Summer, New Eatery Coming This story has been updated.  Landing at Jones Beach, which opened in the West Bathhouse in 2018, will not be back this summer.  The Landing operated for two years and the contract was terminated in December, George Gorman, the regional director of New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, told Daily Voice.
