Body Of 58-Year-Old Man Found Floating In Water At Jones Beach, Police Report
An investigation is underway after the body of a 58-year-old man was found floating in the water at Jones Beach. The Nassau County Police Marine Bureau responded to a report of a body in the water at the west end of the beach in Wantagh at about 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, the Nassau County Police Department said. Police pulled the man's body out of the water and found that he was unconscious and was not breathing, NCPD said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Man Found Dead Floating On Water In Long Beach
Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the water on Long Island. The 75-year-old man found floating in on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. on Reynolds Channel in Long Beach and the body was recovered by Nassau County Police Marine Bureau Boat Six. The man was pronounced dead by a Long Beach Fire Department Medic at scene. The aided had been previously reported as a Missing Person by Long Beach Police. Man Rescued After Sailboat Capsizes Off Shore In Oyster Bay
Authorities rescued a man from a sailboat that had capsized off the shore of Long Island. The incident happened off the shore of Beekman Beach, located at 1 West End Ave. in Oyster Bay, at about 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Officers received a report that a small sailboat capsized and a man who appeared to be in distress was standing on the boat. A man was found inside a vehicle submerged in water in a storm basin on Long Island. The 73-year-old man was found by a police diver around 9 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Old Westbury, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Old Westbury Police Department located an unoccupied vehicle parked eastbound on the south service road of the Long Island Expressway, west of exit 39 near a storm basin. Nearly a dozen passengers were pulled to safety from a boat that was sinking off the northern coast of Long Island. The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, July 25, in Half Moon Bay off of Sands Point in Nassau County. 21-Year-Old Injured In Long Island Jet-Ski Accident
A 21-year-old was injured in a jet-ski accident on Long Island. Nassau County Police Marine Bureau received a call for a medical emergency in the Merrick Bay on Saturday, July 11 at around 5 p.m. in Merrick. Three teenagers were rescued after the paddleboard they were on flipped over in the water off Point Lookout.
