Pair Sentenced For Long Island Murder, Robbery
Two men who admitted to luring, robbing, and killing a Long Island man who had just received a large sum of money will each spend at least two decades behind bars, authorities announced.
Freeport men Eric Baldwin and Corey Grier were each handed sentences of 20 years or more in prison, the Nassau County District Attorney announced on Monday, Nov. 13.

A Long Island man who stabbed his uncle over a dozen times and stole nearly $2,000 from him will now spend at least 25 years behind bars, authorities announced.
On Monday, Nov. 6, 44-year-old David Cahoon of Dix Hills received his sentence of 25 years to life for the brutal December 2018 stabbing, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.

A Long Island man was convicted by a jury of killing a gas station worker after stealing just around $20 of gas.
Joshua Roston, age 38 of Baldwin, received his conviction on Friday, Oct. 27 for the 2019 murder of Cemal ‘John’ Dagdeviren, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
At approximately 7:20 a.m. on Jan. 14, 2019, Roston pulled up in his GMC SUV to the Pit Stop gas station, located at 1210 Grand Avenue in North Baldwin.
